Call for Applications: Summer School “Rule of Law and the Protection of Fundamental Rights in the European Union” (R-EU-R, Jean Monnet Module, 1–6 September 2025)

The second R-EU-R Summer School will be held from 1 to 6 September 2025 at the Law School Library building, 23 Mavromichali Street, Athens.

Subjects to be taught are as follows:

  1. EU mechanisms ensuring the respect for the rule of law
     
  2. EU’s preventive and response tools. Use, misuse and non-use of the Rule of Law toolbox
     
  3. Rule of law related to specific Member States of the EU (Romania, Poland, Hungary)
     
  4. Rule of law and its link with ECHR
     
  5. Rule of law and European Public Prosecutor
     
  6. Fundamental rights and revision of the Constitution
     
  7. Rule of Law and democracy in the EU
     
  8. Rule of Law in the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the EU
